Fantastic issue! Nice insights and interesting comparisons to real estate.

It’s funny - I hate value investing when it comes to stocks, but I love value investing when it comes to digital assets.

Another very interesting post. Thanks, Mushfiq!

You've mentioned Niche Website Builders' services a few times now. Do you use them personally for linkbuilding?

Thanks!

Yes. I know the owners, Adam and Mark. They have put together a good (albeit a bit expensive) set of offerings. I recommend it if you have a budget.

Great insights, thank you.

May I ask, why you prefer flipping over holding websites long term? The ROI could be much higher holding them long term. What‘s your reasoning behind this?

Great question!

Historically, I've done just pure flips. My maximum hold has been 24 months. The reason for this is a fewfold:

1) Build up a nest egg for future deals; I am young so I am building capital.

2) I love doing "startups". The exponential growth of 10X incoming on a site is what I strive for.

However, as I get busier in life, I am building up a portfolio of quality sites for the long-term. That's what I am doing with my Outdoor and Dating/Relationship site. Those will theoretically be long-term holds unless I need to liquidate for a new opportunity.

So technically, I do both now; long-term and short-term flips.

Amazing insights thanks so much for the article and all the other ones you already published. Just started reading all your content. Its a really interesting topic. If you would be so kind to share your view on two topics that would be awesome. 1.) How much time should one spend on lets say one page to begin with (minimal weekly amount of time) and how much do you work on it? 2.) What would you recommmend a beginner with little practical experience but a ton of theoretical knowledge ;-) Thanks again and have an amazing day.

Thanks for reading!

1.) How much time should one spend on lets say one page to begin with (minimal weekly amount of time) and how much do you work on it?

I will do a post on this in the future. I have two stages I operate my sites in: High-Growth and Stable Operations.

In high-growth, I spend upfront 30-50 hours to get a site fine-tuned, keyword research done, outlines created, writers hired, and all setup for growth. After that initial work, everything is easy if you have processes in place.

In stable op mode, it's a few hours a week at most.

2.) What would you recommmend a beginner with little practical experience but a ton of theoretical knowledge

If you have a budget, buy a start site for less than $2,000. If you do not have a budget, build a site from scratch and practice.

The first site should not be treated as an investment opportunity but rather a learning opportunity.

Hey Mushfiq thanks for the answer. Already build some practice sites one thing I am curious would you go a proven niche like health, fitness, relationships, financial or try and find something low competition like "outside the box". I find it really hard to decide on the niche. Also would you go for US/UK or do foreign SEO for example LATAM from my experience it is still easier to rank due to less competition. How would you go about with the research and deciding on a niche etc? Thanks and have a great day. Really looking forward to your next posts especially on time management and process optimization of building and flipping sites.

For the Buy, Grow, and Partner Strategy. How do you find your partners and what legal documentation do you have in place to protect both partners? At some point I may want to venture into doing partnership deals and wondered how these types of deals are structured ( ie., who does operations, funding source, etc).

Excellent question!

I only partner with people who understand the industry, and I know personally for a while. We draft a basic "English" agreement that lays out profit and loss details, equity details, what happens if one person wants to exit, who manages the site, who manages the P&L, etc.

It's basic and has worked so far.
